It’s official, UFOs are real and the aliens are coming out of the shadows and into the black lights for this ultimate radical-inclusion event. Join our secretive K-Anon krewe to welcome our spindly friends with neon flare, hypnotic visuals, galactic beats and pulsing probes in this large indoor/ outdoor venue.
THEME/ STYLE
For BLB, all forms of glowing, light art or neon, black light reactive dress is encouraged but, for this year’s theme, we mash up all things Alien with any form of Conspiratorial theory. Are aliens amongst us or are we the aliens?

Black & Light Ball is an annual springtime fundraiser for Kostume Kult (Costume Cultural Society), a non-profit arts org supporting costume art, street theater and big fun while bringing wonderful people together. Originally a psychedelic spoof of Truman Capote’s Black & White Ball, BLB #17 is a high tech event mixing glowing light art and fabulous fluorescent fashions illuminated by a vast array of black lights.
