THEME & STYLE
Amongst fluorescent flora, fabulous fauna gather for a night of
fantastical fun in this garden of glowing black lights and unusual
sights… Black & Light Ball is about any form of glowing electronic or
UV reactive art and fancy dress. To portray this year’s theme, “biota”
refers to any mix of animals, foliage and fungi where all may morph,
transmute or transfigure any concept or creature. Emerge from your
cocoon as a butterfly reborn or transition from tadpole to toad. Be a
chimera, gnome, nymph, botanist, alchemist or druid… Or join the
neon picnickers taking their tea out on the veranda.

Black & Light Ball is an annual psychedelic spring fundraiser for
Kostume Kult (Costume Cultural Society), a non-profit arts org
supporting costume art, street theater and mad fun while bringing
wonderful people together. BLB #14 is a high tech themed event mixing
light art and many fabulous fluorescent fashions being illuminated by
