Kostume Kult & House of Yes Present!
The 8th Annual Alt.Oscar Awards
Kostume Kult brings back the Alt.Oscars Awards after a 5 year hiatus.
Don’t miss this interactive Oscars viewing party with costumes from recent films or pop culture!
Join in the glam-absurdity of our red carpet, enjoy the dedicated Hollywood Oscar viewing area (with sound!)
and be nominated to win the coveted “Alty” or only slightly less coveted “Alty Jr.”,
given out in a variety of character categories. It’s a major award!
While Hollywood caters to “Celebrity Culture”, the Alt. Oscars advocates “Participatory Culture”
where the velvet rope is open to all who make an effort, encouraging everyone to participate – to express their style,
points of view and humor. We enjoy the style of the Oscars and pay homage to all the actors and filmmakers,
but with New York City attitude!
